Rerunning Out of Material
If you're getting tired of watching our re-runs you're not alone. We are too. Tonight we'll air Show No. 8 again. But prepare yourself for some fresh material! We will have a new episode for you on November 11th.
When we started Red Dirt Roundup one of our goals was to show material that was submitted by video artists, musicians, paroled felons, ham radio operators, etc. The idea was to showcase interesting things you don't usually see on local TV. This idea gave us warm and fuzzies, since Tulsa has no public access channel. We would do our part- albeit a minor one- to bring class and culture to our lovely city.
Show Us Your Stuff
So far the response has been... well, pretty dismal. Everything shown from outside sources we scrounged or pleaded for. It's disappointing but not a single unsolicited submission has been received. The warm and fuzzy feeling is beginning to wane.
But I have faith in my fellow man. C'mon people! I know you will rise up and do what's right! We have seen the minions out there with their video cameras and pixelvisions. We know– you're probably just waiting to get it perfect before you send it in.
Don't sweat it. It's only cable, it doesn't have to be perfect! So send us your short film, music video, bar mitzvah tape or American Idol auditions. After all, it's the right thing to do.
